Happy Birthday Gavin!

Happy 6th Birthday Gavin!

Gavin is my sweet tender boy, the one who races Wade to the car to see who can open the door for me first. The one who tells me one day that he wants to be a missionary and tell people about Jesus. The one who has rock hard abs and is tall and skinny. The one who has a ready gentle smile. He is my thinker, my adventurer, the server. The one who thinks of others; when he awfully sick and throwing up I was helping him in the bathroom. He sweetly looks up at me between dry heaves "Momma I remember when you were sick like this, I hope you never get sick like this agian. I pray you stay healthy all the time." Heartmelt.

He is the one who loves music with a passion, he wants to play violin something awful...I wish we could afford the violin and lessons for him because I know he will make lovely music someday. He likes to sing too. He could play Legos all day long if I let him.

Happy Birthday Gavin! We are so blessed to have you in our family and pray that you will keep a tender heart and grow to be a man of honor.

Gavin meeting his cousin Jackson, he loves babies so much!

Fun with his siblings up at the cabin

I love this kid

Happy Birthday Gavin!! Hope you have a great time celebrating "Your Day"!!

Michelle, I totally understand about the violin desire. My daughter, Emilee, begged us for 2 YEARS about playing the violin. So for her 6th birthday we bought her one and she began lessons. I loved hearing her play (in between squeaks, that is). My 2 favorite times hearing her play, was once with her brother, Benjy, who was also learning, when they (on their own) learned to play "the First Noel" (with harmony) as a surprise for us for Christmas. The other time was when she played while Benjy played his Mandolin and Ricky (their oldest brother) played his guitar for family devotions one night. It's truly an investment!

Whenever she "grew out" of one size, she would pass it along to someone else... wish we still had one that would fit Gavin's arm length. We've found some good, but inexpensive ones on EBay and craigslist before. Have you checked there?

Miss you all a lot. Wishing we could visit again soon. Hugs, Grace
